Make Money Why do you want to make money? Is it to quit your job? That is probably the main reason people give when talking about a home business. Is it to supplement your current job income? Another popular reason given. Is it to have financial freedom? A good answer. It does not really matter why you want to make money. The fact is that in most countries we have to make money to survive. There are a few places still today where to make money is not important as far as survival is concerned. In these places people can crop or fish enough to feed themselves and their family. They have no need for TV and video games, microwave and other electrical appliances and motor cars etc that are considered necessities everywhere except a few remote jungle areas of the globe and you must make money to be able to afford them. There are so many ways to make money in the world today. You can have a job, a bricks and mortar business, an internet business, dividends from stocks and shares, interest from the bank or other financial institution where you have made money and deposited it to make money on money, rent from property that you own another make money from money spent in acquiring an asset. There are also many other ways to make money both legal and criminal. A relatively new concept of what to do to make money is to buy customers. That is you buy customers of a business and then you make a percentage of what the customer purchases from that point on. This concept of you buy customers to make money evolved as an alternative to the MLM business distributors buying leads and basically failing in the MLM business. They failed to make money because they couldn't call the MLM Business leads. The general consensus today is that we must make money to eat and enjoy some physical assets, travel and experience different cultures. The more money you make the more you are able to enjoy buying assets. There becomes a social status when you make more money than your neighbour. Millionaires have a higher regard by people than the homeless person begging at Grand Central to make money to buy a bottle of beer. In fact begging is a good way to make money. Different Approaches to Make Money So many people in this day and age are fed up of the rat race, the long commutes to work and the short holidays. There seems to be no time for pleasure and entertainment as all our time is spent working long hard hours to make money to pay the mortgage and the ever increasing household bills. He has been prepared at times to make money by doing any job he can find. He has worked part time as a DIY man, a gardener, a part time college lecturer (doing only a few hours a week). He has also worked in return for food and lodging. The list is endless. He loves his life and the desire to make money is secondary to his desire for freedom. He is a talented musician and so is able to spend time playing his guitar and piano and also composing music. He hopes one day to make money from his music but in the meantime he will make money anyway he can to enable him to have the time to do the things he loves. I might add that in 99% of times the errors are in the employer's favor. If you do not check your hours and rates of pay especially for overtime hours and any special allowances that you are entitled to, you will almost certainly be short of the money that you should have made. If there is a change of employer double check to ensure your rates of pay are correct or again you will not make the money due to you. You can make more money from a job if you obviously work more, or you can train for a higher paying position within the current organisation or you can seek employment elsewhere to increase your money making ability. Alternatively you can look at starting a home based business part time to make money to supplement your current job. Robert Kiyosaki (author of Rich Dad Poor Dad) says that to make money in large amounts you need to know where you lie in the Cash Flow quadrant. There are four groups of people and depending in which quadrant or group you fit into will determine whether you will make money as an employee (E quadrant), as a small business self employed (S quadrant) as a big business (B quadrant or as an investor (I quadrant). ESBI are the four quadrants. If you are in the E quadrant you will make money only as an employee. People in this quadrant are limited to a job as to how they make money. A concern for people in this quadrant is that even though some will make money in large amounts, they also tend to spend the same amount of money. Likewise the people in the S quadrant who are self employed will make money but are limited to their own skills to achieve this. If you are in the E or S quadrant your financial IQ is not that high even if you make money above the average wage. You can be successful in these two quadrants but you can still be poor because of your low financial IQ. People in the B and I quadrants have a higher financial IQ and so if successful they will make money and be rich. Everyone is trying to make money and so once you understand your financial IQ you will be in a better position to determine how you make money and how to become rich, provided of course that you want to be rich. More and more people are beginning to discover that working and making money from home is possible and does more good than bad; it gives you more flexibility without impacting productivity.
